United Kingdom
Britain runs on two parallel systems: affiliated athletics clubs with committees and cross-country leagues, and a crew scene the country largely invented. Most cities have both and they rarely mix.
North America
United States
The deepest race calendar anywhere, and club scenes shaped by it. American clubs tend to be organised around competing as a team, even at the back of the field.
